Employment Litigation Issues
While employment law covers transactional and advisory law within the scope of employment, litigation occurs when disputes arise. Often employment litigation has to do with resolving employee claims dealing with numerous issues, including whistle-blowing, confidential information, and non-competition covenants. Our team manages litigation resulting from employee issues such as bonus disputes, disability accommodations, and benefits.
A Focus on Arbitration and Trials
Our employment litigation team focuses on trials and arbitration that pertain to employment law issues. We have experience in proceedings dealing with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Utah Anti-discrimination and Labor Division, Department of Labor, and Department of Workforce Services proceedings. Our team also assists with litigation cases that involve mergers and acquisitions as they relate to employment cases.
Representing Employers and Employees
As a firm, we represent both sides of employment issues. We don’t solely represent employers or employees but instead have experience on both sides of the table. This fundamental difference sets us aside from other firms because our attorneys can understand both sides of a case and advise their clients.
Collaborating with Employment Litigation
At Kimball Anderson, we believe that collaboration provides an efficient solution to any legal issue. Because of this, our employment litigation team works closely with our employment law team. With this collaboration, our employment litigation team has access to a strong understanding of transactional employment law while being experts in litigation.
